About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large datasets from various agricultural sources (e.g., IoT sensors, weather stations, satellite imagery).
• Develop, implement, and validate predictive models for crop yield, disease outbreaks, and resource efficiency.
• Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to identify patterns and trends.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of interventions.
• Visualize and communicate complex data findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders remotely.
• Collaborate with software engineers and agronomists to integrate data-driven solutions into farming platforms.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Agriculture, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong portfolio of analytical projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant data science libraries.
• Experience with database management (SQL/NoSQL) and big data technologies.
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
