About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Agricultural Engineer to enhance their operations in Nottingham . This role is crucial for designing, developing, and improving agricultural machinery, structures, and processes to increase efficiency, sustainability, and safety. You will apply engineering principles to solve challenges in farming, food processing, and land management, working on projects that may involve mechanization, irrigation, drainage, or renewable energy systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong engineering background coupled with an understanding of agricultural needs and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test new agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Improve existing agricultural systems and processes for greater efficiency and sustainability.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation, drainage, and other water management systems.
- Analyze data from field trials and operational performance to make design recommendations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in agricultural engineering, machinery design, or farm systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems relevant to farm machinery .
- Experience with project management and product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics and fluid dynamics in an agricultural context.
