About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Agricultural Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role involves the design, development, and maintenance of agricultural machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. You will apply engineering principles to solve practical problems in farming, aiming to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or civil engineering, with a specific understanding of the challenges and innovations within the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement new agricultural machinery and equipment, focusing on efficiency and durability.
• Oversee the installation and maintenance of farm infrastructure, such as irrigation systems and storage facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with existing farm machinery and equipment.
• Conduct site assessments and recommend appropriate engineering solutions for farm operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in designing and developing agricultural machinery or systems.
• Strong understanding of materials science, hydraulics, and electrical systems relevant to agriculture.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
