About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Agricultural Estate Manager to oversee their extensive agricultural holdings in the Nottingham region. This comprehensive role requires strategic leadership across all aspects of estate management, including farming operations, property maintenance, financial oversight, and staff management. You will be responsible for ensuring the profitability, sustainability, and efficient operation of the entire estate, while preserving its long-term value. This is a senior position for a leader with a proven track record in large-scale agricultural management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the agricultural and property management of the estate.
• Oversee all farming operations, including crop production, livestock management, and land utilisation.
• Manage the estate budget, financial performance, and investment planning.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the estate staff, including farm managers, groundskeepers, and administrative personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
• Oversee property maintenance, development projects, and tenant relations if applicable.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in managing large agricultural estates or significant farming operations.
• Strong understanding of agronomy, farm business management, and estate finance.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of agricultural legislation, environmental regulations, and best practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant degree in Agriculture, Estate Management, Business Management, or a related field.
