About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Agricultural Operations Manager to oversee their extensive farming activities near Oxford . This senior role requires a comprehensive understanding of modern agricultural practices, including crop management, livestock husbandry (if applicable), and efficient resource allocation. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all farm operations, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with exceptional organizational skills and a proven track record in managing complex agricultural enterprises, capable of driving efficiency and innovation across the farm.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic operational plans for crop production, yield optimization, and resource management.
• Oversee day-to-day farm activities, ensuring efficient execution of planting, growing, and harvesting cycles.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize financial performance of agricultural operations.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of farm staff, including supervisors and labourers.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and agricultural regulations.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies and farming techniques to enhance productivity and sustainability.
• Liaise with suppliers, agronomists, veterinarians, and other external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing large-scale agricultural operations, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong knowledge of agronomy, crop science, and modern farming technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning within an agricultural context.
• A degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field is essential.
