About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Agricultural Surveyor to assess and value farmland, crops, and agricultural assets in and around Derby . This role involves conducting site visits, analyzing market trends, and providing expert reports for a variety of purposes, including property transactions, insurance claims, and development projects. You will need a strong understanding of agricultural practices, land management, and valuation methodologies. This position offers the chance to work across diverse agricultural landscapes and contribute to important land-related decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough surveys and inspections of agricultural land, farms, and related properties.
- Assess crop health, yield potential, and soil quality for valuation and advisory purposes.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports, reports on condition, and other technical documentation.
- Advise clients on land management strategies, crop optimization, and agricultural development.
- Liaise with landowners, legal professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on agricultural market trends, legislation, and best practices in surveying.
Requirements
- Qualified Surveyor with experience in the agricultural sector or a relevant degree (e.g., Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Surveying).
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crop types, and livestock management.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment and GIS software.
- Excellent analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the Derbyshire region.
