About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and hands-on Agricultural Technician to support their farming operations in the Leeds area. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all machinery and equipment used on the farm. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of a wide range of agricultural tools and vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. This practical position requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and efficiency within a busy agricultural setting in West Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractors, harvesters, and other farm machinery.
• Operate farm equipment safely and efficiently for various agricultural tasks such as planting, cultivation, and harvesting.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with farm equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and usage of machinery.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new farm equipment and technology.
• Ensure all machinery is kept clean, organized, and stored appropriately.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably within the agricultural sector.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate a variety of farm machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of agricultural practices and crop cycles.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to work flexible hours during peak seasons in Leeds .
