About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Agricultural Technician to support their farming operations in Southampton . This role involves assisting with the implementation of scientific research, field trials, and the application of advanced agricultural technologies. You will play a key part in data collection, equipment calibration, and ensuring the smooth running of experimental plots and production systems. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining field trials and experimental plots.
• Collect and accurately record data on crop growth, soil conditions, and pest/disease incidence.
• Calibrate and operate agricultural machinery and scientific instruments.
• Prepare soil samples and other materials for laboratory analysis.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all field activities.
• Maintain farm equipment and tools in good working order.

Requirements

• A degree or HND in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous experience in a technical or practical agricultural role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data logging equipment and scientific measurement techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
