About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Agronomist to provide expert advice to farmers and agricultural businesses in the Wolverhampton region and beyond. This role is critical for optimizing crop production, improving soil health, and promoting sustainable farming practices. You will analyze soil, crop, and environmental data to develop tailored recommendations for fertilization, pest management, and crop rotation. The ideal candidate is passionate about agricultural science and possesses excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct soil and crop assessments to diagnose issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop detailed crop nutrition and protection plans for a variety of agricultural enterprises.
• Advise clients on best practices for sustainable farming, including water management and soil conservation.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, technologies, and regulations in agronomy.

Requirements

• Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in crop advisory services or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of soil science, plant physiology, and integrated pest management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and client-management abilities.
