About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled AI Data Engineer to join their growing data science and engineering team in Nottingham . You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines that feed into AI and machine learning models. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies, with a specific focus on supporting AI initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists and ML engineers to ensure data quality, accessibility, and efficient processing. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for AI and machine learning workloads.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and prepare large datasets.

• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand data requirements and delivery needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on supporting AI/ML projects.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated data services.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and scripting.
• Understanding of data modeling principles and database design.
