About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient AI Data Engineer to join their innovative team, supporting operations remotely. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the data pipelines and infrastructure necessary to support our AI and machine learning initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of data processing, storage, and management, ensuring that high-quality, reliable data is readily available for our data scientists and ML engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Design, construct, install, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI and ML applications.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and prepare data for analysis and model training.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval systems for performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their data requirements and provide solutions.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on supporting AI/ML projects.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Scala.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.
