About the Role

This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to shape the ethical framework and governance policies surrounding AI development and deployment. You will work closely with engineering, legal, and policy teams to ensure that our AI systems are fair, transparent, and accountable. Based in our Milton Keynes office, you will also have the flexibility to work remotely on designated days, fostering a balanced approach to collaboration and individual focus. This position is crucial for maintaining public trust and ensuring regulatory compliance as AI technologies continue to evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies and governance frameworks.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments for new AI projects and applications.
• Advise engineering teams on best practices for developing fair, unbiased, and explainable AI models.
• Monitor regulatory developments in AI ethics and ensure compliance.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs on AI ethics for internal stakeholders.
• Engage with external bodies and researchers on AI ethics best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field such as Law, Philosophy, Public Policy, or Computer Science with an ethics focus.
• 3+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology governance.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and potential ethical implications.
• Experience in developing policy frameworks and conducting risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with global AI regulations and ethical guidelines.
