About the Role

Our client is establishing a dedicated AI Governance and Ethics unit and is looking for a pioneering AI Ethicist and Governance Specialist to join their remote-first team. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing frameworks that ensure our AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with emerging regulations. You will work closely with AI researchers, engineers, legal teams, and business leaders to embed ethical considerations into every stage of the AI lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, guidelines, and best practices.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new AI initiatives and products.
• Advise cross-functional teams on ethical considerations, bias mitigation, fairness, and transparency in AI.
• Monitor AI-related regulatory landscapes and ensure organizational compliance.
• Design and deliver training programs on AI ethics and responsible AI development to employees.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on AI ethics matters.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Philosophy, Ethics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on AI ethics.
• Demonstrated understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and their societal impacts.
• Experience in policy development, risk management, or compliance, preferably in a technology context.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
