About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive AI Ethics and Compliance Officer to join their growing team in Plymouth . You will be instrumental in ensuring that all AI initiatives adhere to the highest ethical standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting audits, and providing guidance to ensure responsible AI development and deployment. You will work closely with legal, engineering, and product teams to navigate the complex ethical and compliance landscape of artificial intelligence, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for AI ethics and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of AI systems to ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and regulations.
- Advise on legal and ethical considerations related to data privacy, bias, and fairness in AI models.
- Stay informed about evolving AI regulations and industry best practices, translating them into actionable strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on AI ethics and compliance matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Ethics, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in compliance or data privacy are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles, with a focus on technology or AI.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their ethical implications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations to practical business scenarios in Plymouth .
