About the Role
Our client is seeking a pioneering AI Ethics and Governance Lead to establish and champion responsible AI practices across the organization, working remotely. This critical role will shape the ethical frameworks, policies, and guidelines that ensure our AI technologies are developed and deployed safely, fairly, and transparently. You will collaborate closely with AI researchers, engineers, legal teams, and business leaders to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle, fostering a culture of trust and accountability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics and governance frameworks and policies.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new and existing AI systems.
- Provide guidance and training to AI teams on ethical considerations, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor industry best practices and regulatory developments in AI ethics and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Act as a key advisor on ethical dilemmas and ensure accountability in AI development and deployment.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in AI ethics, responsible AI, technology policy, or a related governance role.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, potential biases, and societal impacts.
- Experience in developing policies, conducting risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
