About the Role

Our client is seeking a principled and analytical AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their growing team in Bradford . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing frameworks to ensure our AI systems are developed and deployed responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with regulations. You will work closely with AI researchers, engineers, legal teams, and business leaders to embed ethical considerations into the AI lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AI technologies, ethical principles, and relevant legal/regulatory landscapes, driving responsible innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, guidelines, and best practices for the organization.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new and existing AI systems.
• Advise development teams on ethical considerations, bias mitigation, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI.
• Monitor evolving AI regulations and industry standards, ensuring organizational compliance.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs on AI ethics and responsible AI practices across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Ethics, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ethics, governance, risk management, or compliance, with a focus on technology or AI.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning principles, and potential ethical challenges (e.g., bias, privacy, fairness).
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
• Familiarity with relevant data protection and AI regulations is highly desirable for this role in Bradford .
