About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their expanding team in Milton Keynes . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and frameworks to ensure the responsible and ethical development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies. You will work closely with AI researchers, product managers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to embed ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the ethical trajectory of AI within our organisation and contribute to building trust with our users and the wider community, operating from our vibrant Milton Keynes hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine AI ethics principles, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects.
- Provide guidance and training on responsible AI practices to technical and business teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant AI governance standards.
- Investigate and address ethical concerns related to AI systems and data usage.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Policy, Philosophy, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AI ethics, fairness, accountability, transparency, and bias mitigation.
- Experience in policy development, risk management, or compliance, preferably in a tech context.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ethical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and their intersection with AI.
