About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their growing AI & Emerging Technologies division in Manchester . In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our AI development and deployment practices are responsible, ethical, and compliant with all relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with research, engineering, legal, and policy teams to establish robust governance frameworks, conduct ethical impact assessments, and promote best practices. This position is vital for maintaining public trust and ensuring the sustainable and beneficial application of AI technologies within the organization and its products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics policies, guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new AI initiatives and systems.
- Provide expert advice and training on AI ethics and responsible AI principles to internal teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure organizational compliance with AI-related laws and standards.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to address complex ethical dilemmas in AI development and deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Law, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, policy, or governance roles.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and their societal implications.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks concerning AI and data privacy.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
