About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Governance Specialist to join their forward-thinking team, remotely based but with opportunities for engagement in Plymouth . This crucial role focuses on ensuring the responsible and ethical development and deployment of AI technologies within the organization. You will develop policies, guidelines, and frameworks to address critical issues such as bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI systems, contributing to the responsible advancement of AI and Emerging Technologies . Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics policies, governance frameworks, and best practices.
- Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for AI projects.
- Provide guidance and training to technical and business teams on responsible AI development.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry standards related to AI ethics and compliance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Ethics, Law, Computer Science, Philosophy, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, data governance, or technology policy.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and potential ethical implications.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex ethical and technical concepts into actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory landscapes concerning AI.
