AI Infrastructure Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated AI Infrastructure Engineer to join their technology team in Plymouth . This role is essential for building and maintaining the robust, scalable infrastructure required to support our advanced AI and machine learning initiatives. You will work with cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our data scientists and engineers. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to balance on-site collaboration in our Plymouth office with the flexibility of remote work. You will play a key role in enabling the company's AI ambitions through efficient and powerful infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including compute, storage, and networking.
• Deploy and maintain AI/ML platforms and tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Kubeflow, MLflow).
• Optimize infrastructure performance for training and inference of machine learning models.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML model deployment.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on cloud or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of AI/ML workflows and related infrastructure requirements.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
