About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled AI Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing technology team in Reading . You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the scalable, high-performance infrastructure required to support our advanced AI and machine learning workloads. This critical role ensures that our data scientists and engineers have the robust and reliable systems they need to innovate and develop cutting-edge AI solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI/ML workloads.
- Deploy and maintain ML platforms, MLOps tools, and distributed computing frameworks.
- Optimize infrastructure performance, cost, and reliability for AI training and inference.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for AI infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their infrastructure needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with a focus on AI/ML.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and data storage solutions relevant to AI.
- Experience with ML frameworks and distributed training systems is highly desirable.
