AI Lead Engineer

Hybrid working available (a minimum of 3 days working from the office, 2 days working from home)

The job in a nutshell

Owns the agentic platform end-to-end from a technical and delivery perspective - architecture, guardrails, working with business leads on design and costs and also with vendors. Sits at the top of the Central/Enabling team, with AI Ops Engineer reporting into it.

Who you will work with

Internal: AI Ops Engineer; Solutions Architect; Head of Cyber Security, Application Support, Infrastructure and Data teams; AI Business Owner; process area leads (Buying & Order Planning Lead, Offers Lead, Customer Contact Lead) as the agent-owning counterparts across the business

External: Agentic platform vendors; Suppliers & SaaS Providers

3rd party business application partners

What you will do

• Owns platform architecture and guardrails
• Owns the agentic platform end-to-end including cost and vendor management
• Deliver new and enhanced capabilities in conjunction with the AI Business Owners
• Sets the governance standards that AI Ops Engineer monitors against.
• Provides the technical input into the AI Roadmap

What you will bring to the role

Experience / Achievements

• Demonstrable experience in AI/ML engineering
• Proven experience in prompt engineering and guardrails design
• Experience with API integration and system architecture
• Experience in agent monitoring and performance management at platform level
• Experience of enterprise platform governance

Your Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

• Strong platform governance judgement
• (Desirable) Experience in Lyzr and/or Microsoft Foundry platform
• (Desirable) Cloud infrastructure
