About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled AI/ML Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the robust infrastructure required for their advanced AI initiatives in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for setting up and managing scalable computing environments, optimizing data storage and access, and ensuring the reliability and performance of ML pipelines. This role is essential for enabling data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy AI models efficiently. You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, MLOps, and AI development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable AI/ML infrastructure on cloud platforms or on-premises.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML models and data workflows.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and access for large-scale AI workloads.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to ensure infrastructure meets their needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and frameworks.
