About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced AI/ML Operations (MLOps) Engineer to join their growing technology team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between AI development and reliable production deployment. You will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining the infrastructure and workflows required to deploy, monitor, and manage machine learning models at scale. Working closely with data scientists and software engineers, you will ensure the smooth, efficient, and reliable operation of AI systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically adept individual to establish and lead MLOps practices within a forward-thinking organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for training, deploying, and monitoring ML models in production environments.
- Automate ML workflows, including data ingestion, model training, validation, and deployment.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for AI/ML services.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of ML systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as an MLOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer with a focus on ML.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and ML lifecycle management tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
