AI Platform Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled AI Platform Developer to contribute to the infrastructure that powers their artificial intelligence initiatives in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the platforms and tools that enable data scientists and ML engineers to develop and deploy AI models efficiently. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and a good understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle. You will work in a collaborative environment, ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of our AI development environment, which is crucial for driving innovation across the company. This is a key role in ensuring our technological capabilities are robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient AI platforms and infrastructure.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models and applications.
• Implement tools and services to support data scientists and ML engineers (e.g., model training, deployment, monitoring).
• Optimize platform performance and ensure high availability of AI services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide robust platform solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, with experience in building or managing cloud-based platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and MLOps concepts is a strong advantage.
