AI Platform Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled AI Platform Engineer to join their technology hub in Edinburgh . This role is instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our AI and machine learning initiatives. You will focus on creating robust, scalable, and efficient platforms that enable our data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy models seamlessly. This hybrid role offers a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration, fostering teamwork and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including data pipelines and model training environments.
• Implement and maintain MLOps best practices for CI/CD, model versioning, and deployment automation.
• Develop and optimize data processing pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and availability for AI applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide robust solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the security and stability of the AI platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with a focus on AI/ML infrastructure.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and MLOps tools is highly desirable.
