About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled AI Platform Engineer to build and manage the foundational infrastructure that supports their artificial intelligence initiatives in Oxford . This role is essential for creating and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient platforms that enable data scientists and ML engineers to develop, train, and deploy AI models seamlessly. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and MLOps best practices to ensure the performance and reliability of our AI ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced platform engineer to play a key role in advancing our client's AI capabilities and driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable AI/ML infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) for AI workloads.
- Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines for ML models and associated infrastructure.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the AI platform.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their platform needs and provide solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or MLOps.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows is highly desirable.
