AI Platform Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced AI Platform Engineer to join their innovative technology department, operating on a hybrid basis with a focus on their Bristol office. You will play a key role in building, managing, and scaling the infrastructure and tools that empower our data science and AI teams. This position requires a blend of software engineering, systems administration, and cloud expertise to ensure our AI platforms are robust, efficient, and accessible. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable AI infrastructure and platforms, primarily on cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML models and applications.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of AI/ML development and production environments.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their platform needs and provide effective solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with a focus on AI/ML workloads.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
