AI Platform Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer to join their dedicated infrastructure team in Reading . This role is essential for building, managing, and scaling the underlying platforms and tools that support their advanced AI and machine learning initiatives. You will focus on creating efficient, reliable, and secure environments for data scientists and ML engineers to develop and deploy their models. This is a critical position for an individual passionate about MLOps, cloud infrastructure, and enabling cutting-edge AI development within a high-performing team and a forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure required for AI/ML development, training, and deployment.
• Implement and manage MLOps pipelines for CI/CD, model versioning, and monitoring.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop tools and automation to streamline the ML workflow for data scientists and engineers.
• Ensure the security and compliance of AI platforms and data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Software Engineering with a focus on AI/ML.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python , Bash, or Go.
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is highly desirable.
