About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated AI Platform Engineer to join their fully remote team, serving clients across the UK. This role is pivotal in building, maintaining, and scaling the infrastructure that powers their advanced AI and machine learning initiatives. You will be instrumental in creating robust, efficient, and reliable platforms that enable data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy models seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable AI/ML infrastructure, including MLOps pipelines, compute clusters, and data storage solutions.
- Develop and automate deployment processes for machine learning models using CI/CD best practices.
- Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their infrastructure needs and provide robust solutions.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the AI platform.
- Implement tools and frameworks for model versioning, experiment tracking, and model registry management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with a strong focus on MLOps or AI infrastructure.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
