About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented AI Software Engineer to join their innovative team based in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves the development and implementation of AI-powered software solutions that integrate machine learning models into user-facing applications and backend systems. You will work closely with data scientists and product teams to translate AI research into practical, scalable software products. We are looking for a pragmatic engineer with a solid foundation in software development and a keen interest in applying AI technologies to create impactful solutions and enhance user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy software applications that leverage machine learning models and AI algorithms.
- Integrate AI/ML models into existing software infrastructure and build new microservices.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and optimize models for integration.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code using best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues related to AI components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and experience working with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Experience building and consuming APIs (RESTful) and working with databases.
- Understanding of software development principles, including version control (Git) and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to project success in Stoke-on-Trent .
