About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking company in AI and Emerging Technologies , is looking for a talented AI Software Engineer to join their innovative team in Southampton . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing software systems that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities. This role requires a strong software engineering background coupled with a passion for AI, enabling you to contribute to cutting-edge projects and build intelligent solutions that drive business value. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to bring AI concepts from research to reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications incorporating AI and ML components.
- Integrate AI models and algorithms into existing software systems and new product development.
- Optimize code and algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and researchers to implement and test machine learning models.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, with a strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in emerging AI technologies.
