Air Export Clerk
Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Air Export Clerk to join a growing international eCommerce & Courier Freight Forwarder based in Sunbury.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, close-knit export team, taking ownership of international air freight shipments from start to finish. Working within a fast-paced operation, you'll coordinate export shipments, customs documentation, airline bookings and overseas communications to ensure freight moves efficiently across a global network.
The business specialises in eCommerce and courier freight, handling high volumes of time-critical shipments to destinations including the USA, Singapore and worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage international air export shipments from booking through to final departure.
- Complete export customs entries and prepare documentation including MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices and customs declarations.
- Issue pre-alerts and relevant shipping documentation to overseas agents to support the onward movement of shipments.
- Liaise with airlines, transport providers, warehouse teams, overseas agents and customers to coordinate export movements.
- Monitor live shipments, resolve operational issues and provide customers with regular updates.
- Ensure export activities comply with HMRC regulations, aviation security requirements and company procedures.
The Successful Candidate
- Previous Air Export experience within a freight forwarding environment.
- Experience managing air export shipments from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of export customs procedures and air freight documentation.
- Experience completing export customs entries and arranging airline bookings.
- Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work accurately within a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary between £35,000 - £42,000, depending on experience.
- Based in Sunbury.
- Monday to Friday, 15:30 - 00:00.
