Aircraft Avionics Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Cardiff . This hybrid role involves hands-on work in the hangar combined with opportunities for remote support and documentation. You will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex avionics and electrical systems on various aircraft types. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys a mix of practical and analytical work, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of aircraft while benefiting from a flexible work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of aircraft avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and functional tests on avionics equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and avionics system malfunctions, utilizing specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance instructions to guide repair procedures.
• Document all maintenance activities, findings, and resolutions accurately in the aircraft maintenance log.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and flight crews to ensure timely resolution of avionics issues.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and avionics components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other avionics testing equipment.
• Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work both on-site and occasionally remotely for specific tasks and support.
