About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their advanced engineering team in Edinburgh . This role is responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft electronic systems and components. You will work with cutting-edge avionics equipment, ensuring the precise functioning of navigation, communication, autopilot, and other critical electronic systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, radar, and flight control systems.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting to identify faults in complex electronic and electrical systems.
- Conduct functional tests and inspections of avionics components and installations using specialized test equipment.
- Interpret avionics schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work complies with aviation regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Document all maintenance, repair, and testing activities accurately in aircraft logs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician with a strong understanding of electronic systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66 Avionics) or equivalent qualifications.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other avionics test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex avionics schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
