Aircraft Avionics Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their busy maintenance facility in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex aircraft electronic systems and components. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of avionics systems, requiring a high degree of technical expertise and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and calibrate a wide range of aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot avionics faults using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
• Perform repairs and modifications to avionics components and wiring harnesses.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with aviation regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, parts used, and test results.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician.
• Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and principles of avionics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other relevant test equipment.
• Ability to read and understand complex technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• EASA Part-66 AML or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
