About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Wolverhampton . This role is essential for maintaining the complex electronic systems that are crucial for modern aircraft operation, navigation, and communication. You will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of avionics equipment. This is a hands-on role within a dedicated aviation facility, offering the chance to work with advanced technology and contribute to the safety and efficiency of flight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and calibrate various avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic system malfunctions using specialized test equipment.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components and wiring harnesses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, parts used, and test results.
- Ensure compliance with all manufacturer specifications and aviation regulations .
- Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician .
- Strong understanding of electronic principles and avionics systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics .
- Relevant certifications (e.g., A&P license with avionics specialization).
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
