About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their team in Oxford . This role involves the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex avionics systems on a variety of aircraft. You will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless operation of navigation, communication, and flight control systems, contributing directly to flight safety and efficiency. This is a hands-on, technical role within a respected aviation maintenance organisation, offering a challenging and rewarding career path in a key technological hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and repair aircraft avionics equipment, including communication, navigation, autopilot, and flight display systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex avionics system malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to perform maintenance tasks.
- Perform modifications and upgrades to avionics systems as required by service bulletins or engineering orders.
- Ensure all work performed is in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and OEM specifications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or a strong background in related electronics maintenance.
- Proficiency with a wide range of avionics systems and test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation, including schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards related to avionics maintenance.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66 or equivalent) are highly desirable.
