Job Description
MPI have requirements for Aircraft Composite Fitters to work on site at Luton Airport.
Start Date: 21st September 2026
Duration: May/June 2027
Hours: 45 hours p/week (07:00 - 16.30).
Monday to Friday
Half hour unpaid lunch.
Rate of pay to be discussed on application.
This role is deemed in-scope of IR35
Duties:
Working in a Hangar base maintenance environment on the commercial Boeing aircraft.
Performing pre-preg repairs, wet layup, and metal-to-metal hot bonding.
Criteria:
Previous experience on commercial aircraft.
Good sound understanding and experience as a Composite Fitter
Experience with use of resins and pre-preg materials.
Metal to metal bonding procedures.
How to apply materials to prepare for vacuum bagging.
How to set up and operate hot bonding equipment.
Ability to understand SRM documents and engineering drawings.
General knowledge of various types of repairs to honeycomb sandwich structures and how to taper sand before a layup.

Current DBS required
