About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Aircraft Dispatcher to join their operational team in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient planning and monitoring of flight operations, ensuring all flights comply with regulations and company policies. You will collaborate closely with flight crews, maintenance, and operational control centers to manage flight plans, weather information, and any potential operational disruptions. This role demands precision, quick thinking, and a strong understanding of aviation principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare detailed flight plans, considering factors such as weather, air traffic, fuel requirements, and operational constraints.
• Monitor flights in progress, track aircraft position, and provide updates and support to flight crews.
• Analyze weather forecasts and NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen) to ensure safe flight operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure aircraft are airworthy for dispatch.
• Manage operational changes, diversions, and emergency situations effectively.
• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.

Requirements

• Valid Aircraft Dispatcher certification or equivalent (e.g., FAA Dispatcher license, EASA Flight Operations Officer).
• Proven experience in flight planning and operational control within the aviation industry.
• Strong understanding of aviation meteorology, navigation, and regulations.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software and communication systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including potential for hybrid arrangements, within the Norwich area.
