About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their fully remote engineering department. This role is essential for the design, development, implementation, and support of complex electrical systems for a range of aircraft platforms. You will be responsible for everything from conceptual design and detailed component specification to system integration and testing, ensuring all systems meet rigorous aviation standards for safety, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate electrical power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and avionics components for aircraft.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system specifications using industry-standard software.
- Perform system analysis, simulations, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues in electrical systems .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and flight test engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant aviation regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA) and industry standards.
- Support the verification and validation (V&V) processes, including ground and flight testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical system designs and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems engineering .
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC power systems, wiring standards, and avionics integration.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) and simulation tools.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and certification processes in aviation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment .
