Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their hybrid team in Nottingham . This role focuses on the design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems for aircraft. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of everything from power generation and distribution to avionics wiring. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop aircraft electrical power distribution systems, including wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Specify and select electrical components, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
• Integrate electrical systems with other aircraft subsystems, such as avionics and flight controls.
• Conduct system testing and validation, troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and maintenance manuals.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure successful implementation of electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and integrating aircraft electrical systems .
• Familiarity with aerospace electrical standards (e.g., MIL-STD-704, ARP5412).
• Experience with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
