About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Reading . This role is integral to the design, development, integration, and testing of complex electrical systems for next-generation aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, wiring harnesses, and associated components for aircraft applications.
- Perform analysis of electrical systems, including load analysis, fault tolerance, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Integrate electrical systems with other aircraft subsystems, ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components, both in laboratory settings and on the aircraft.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to resolve issues during production and entry into service, supporting both on-site and remote teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in aircraft electrical systems design and development.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation software.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and certification requirements (e.g., DO-160, ARP4754).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in a hybrid work environment and excellent communication abilities.
