About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Aircraft Interior Technician to join their team in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring they meet high standards of comfort, safety, and aesthetic appeal. You will work with a variety of materials and systems, including seating, galleys, lavatories, and in-flight entertainment systems. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a commitment to delivering premium quality finishes for passenger comfort and aircraft value. This role is integral to the passenger experience on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, replacements, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin interior components, such as seats, carpets, sidewalls, and overhead bins.
- Install and maintain cabin systems, including lighting, galley equipment, and lavatory fixtures.
- Ensure all interior work complies with aviation regulations, safety standards, and airline specifications.
- Conduct inspections of cabin interiors to identify wear and tear, damage, or safety issues.
- Work with various materials including fabrics, plastics, composites, and woods.
- Read and interpret interior configuration drawings, technical manuals, and repair instructions.
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure efficient and timely completion of cabin refurbishment projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Aircraft Interior Technician , upholsterer, cabinet maker, or in a related skilled trade within aviation or luxury interiors.
- Proficiency in working with a variety of materials commonly found in aircraft cabins.
- Experience with tools and techniques used for interior repair and refurbishment.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for interior layouts and components.
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to high-quality finishing.
- Understanding of aviation safety regulations related to cabin interiors.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
