About the Role
Our client, a renowned aerospace manufacturer, is seeking a highly analytical Aircraft Performance Engineer to join their team in Oxford . This role is responsible for analysing and optimising aircraft performance characteristics, including fuel efficiency, flight dynamics, and payload capacity. You will utilize complex modeling and simulation tools, as well as real-world flight data, to provide critical insights that enhance aircraft design and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and performance analysis, contributing to the development of cutting-edge aviation technology from their base in Oxford .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse aircraft performance data to identify areas for improvement in fuel efficiency and range.
- Develop and validate mathematical models for aircraft flight dynamics and performance.
- Conduct performance calculations for various flight phases and operating conditions.
- Support aircraft design teams by providing performance-related recommendations.
- Collaborate with flight test engineers to analyse flight test data and validate performance models.

Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aircraft performance analysis, aerodynamics, or flight mechanics.

- Strong understanding of flight dynamics and principles of aerodynamics.
