About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Aircraft Propulsion Engineer to join their esteemed technical team in Oxford . This vital role focuses on the design, development, testing, and support of advanced aircraft engine systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of propulsion systems, working with state-of-the-art technology. This is a hands-on position for an engineer passionate about jet engines and contributing to the cutting edge of aviation technology within a leading organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and test aircraft propulsion systems and components, focusing on performance, efficiency, and durability.
- Develop and implement test procedures for engine systems and sub-systems, interpreting test results.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure the quality and timely delivery of propulsion components.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to aircraft engines, providing engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and maintenance recommendations.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, with a specialization in propulsion systems.
- Proven experience in aircraft engine design , development, or testing.
- Proficiency with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science relevant to gas turbine engines.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in a collaborative engineering environment in Oxfordshire .
