About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their team in Manchester . This role is central to the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structural components, ensuring their integrity, safety, and performance under extreme operational conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis of aircraft components and assemblies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Design and develop new structural components and modifications, optimizing for weight, strength, and manufacturability.
- Conduct material selection and testing, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible and support efficient production.
- Investigate structural failures or anomalies, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for design reviews and regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Engineer or similar role in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ANSYS, Nastran, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and fatigue/fracture mechanics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
