Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of aircraft components and systems using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.
- Develop and validate structural test plans and procedures.
- Ensure all structural designs comply with aviation regulations and certification requirements (e.g., EASA, FAA).
- Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to address structural issues and implement improvements.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of structural repair schemes.
- Support the investigation of structural failures or incidents, providing technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in aircraft structural analysis and design.
- Proficiency in FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN) and CAD tools.
- Solid understanding of material properties, failure modes, and fatigue analysis.
- Knowledge of aerospace standards and certification processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, requiring both on-site presence in Bristol and remote engagement.
