About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their esteemed technical department in Norwich . This role is integral to ensuring the structural integrity and airworthiness of our aircraft fleet. You will perform detailed analysis, design modifications, and oversee structural repairs, applying advanced engineering principles and adhering to stringent aviation regulations. This position offers the chance to work on challenging projects within a highly skilled team, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations through robust structural engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design calculations for aircraft components and assemblies.
- Develop repair schemes and modification designs for aircraft structures.
- Interpret and apply aircraft structural repair manuals and technical data.
- Oversee and assist in the implementation of structural repairs and modifications.
- Collaborate with maintenance and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity.
- Ensure all structural engineering activities comply with EASA, CAA, and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aircraft structures design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., NASTRAN, FEA tools).
- Strong understanding of material science, fatigue, and fracture mechanics in an aerospace context.
- Knowledge of aircraft repair techniques and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
