About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team in Portsmouth . This role is critical for the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft structural components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for aircraft components and assemblies using FEA and other analytical tools.
• Develop and validate structural test plans and procedures.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for structural parts and assemblies.
• Investigate structural failures or anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and maintenance teams to resolve structural issues during production and service.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace structural design standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with a focus on structures.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft structures design and analysis .
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of composite and metallic materials used in aerospace.
• Experience with fatigue and fracture mechanics analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
